We're on TV!
Ffive kiwi celebrities have been on TV screens endorsing NZ Libraries as a great place to go.
The Inspire Me TV campaign stars Oscar Kightley, Trelise Cooper, Brooke Fraser, Peta Mathias and Daniel Vettori who are all avid library lovers who want to share their passion with all New Zealanders.
Oscar Kightley
Oscar Kightley, a well-known writer, director and actor, flew back from the Philippines where he was promoting his film Sione's Wedding to participate in the campaign. Oscar says: "My whole trip through the world of storytelling began with a visit to my local library - one of the most inspiring places in the Universe."
Oscar is also one of the Naked Samoans, who've taken their anarchic brand of comedy around the country and even to Scotland. Oscar is currently working with the Naked Samoans and Firehorse Films on the fourth series of bro'Town.
Currently Oscar's time is fully committed to bro'Town, current TV3 projects, live theatre shows … and perhaps just a little bit of socialising when time permits.

Trelise Cooper
When we approached Trelise and invited her to be involved in the national public libraries television campaign she had already committed to touring Turkey for the in the “Intrepid Journey” programme. She was very disappointed and said if the timing changed she would be very keen to be involved. So we purposely postponed filming to wait for her return.
Trelise loves the library. She loves the huge selection of fabulous magazines on all subjects not just fashion. She loves being able to walk in to the library and know that there’s something new in every week. “In the fashion business you are always looking for inspiration and it comes from many sources. I find the library is a place that you can always find something inspiring”

Peta Mathias
When you’re travelling the world presenting one of New Zealand ’s most successful travel/food shows to say that you are busy is an understatement. For nine years Peta Mathias has brought the exotic flavours of New Zealand and far away places like Thailand , Vietnam , and California to New Zealanders. “there is no better way to discover the culture of a country than through its food” says Peta . Combining her passion for travel and food has meant that for Peta her life is one big adventure but she made a special time from her busy filming schedule to support public libraries.
Peta is always at the library. She loves to pop into her local to browse through the latest titles on her next exotic destination or check out a recipe from one of the hundreds of cooking books and magazines from the world over.

Brooke Fraser
Many of us know Brooke Fraser as a 23 year-old singer-songwriter from Naenae whose debut album 'What To Do With Daylight' catapulted her into the charts with four number one radio hits. Her first single Deciphering Me from her recently released album Albertine was a top 5 hit single in the New Zealand charts.
Brooke says that libraries have had a major influence on her love of reading and have been a source of inspiration in their chosen careers.
Having sold more than 50,000 copies in the first eight weeks of her second album Albertine, Australian-based Brooke Fraser is returning to New Zealand for a long-awaited national tour in April.
