Each week, there will be a representative from a different organisation. Weekly at the War Memorial Library.


Connected - Employment, Education, and Training

Connected is an all-of-government service that helps connect you with advice and support about employment, education and training available through government agencies. If you have any questions that are related to employment, education or training, please come and see them. They provide help to a wide range of New Zealanders, including job seekers looking for help finding a job, people who are worried about keeping the job they have, businesses wanting to hire employees, and people looking for education and training advice and opportunities.

Work Connect is a free programme to help skilled migrants, partners and adult children of skilled migrants, and international student graduates (level 7 & above) prepare for the New Zealand job market.

Te Paepae Arahi Trust

Te Paepae Arahi is New Zealand's premier Māori Health Organisation. Providing services to assist whānau recovery and wellness from mental health and addictions.

Fun exercise class for seniors that includes seated, standing and walking exercises for improving stability, balance, mobility and coordination. Great opportunity to connect with other seniors in the community. All welcome. Does not run during school holidays.

SAYGo (Steady As You Go)

Steady As You Go is a gentle, peer led exercise programme, proven to increase balance, strength and mobility, prevent falls and provide a valued social connection for older adults.

Includes seated, standing and walking exercises and encourages awareness of posture, movement and walking technique.

No lines to learn, no audience, just fun!
Use improvisation, drama and storytelling to gently stretch the grey matter and keep the mind active and creative.
Classes are full of play, laughter, and connection.

Work Connect

Work Connect is a free programme to help skilled migrants, partners and adult children of skilled migrants, and international student graduates (level 7 & above) prepare for the New Zealand job market. Work Connect supports you with personalised coaching and mentoring to help you find a job that suits your skills, experience and qualifications. The programme is funded by Immigration New Zealand. Everyone is welcome at these sessions.

Learn how to structure a CV, get tips how to write a marketable CV that stands out, and understand the importance of tailoring your CV to the job you are applying for.
